Majesty should be opposed both to the abyss of negativity and the floating avoidance of affirmation. Affirmation somehow presupposes victimhood (the chaos hurts very badly, but I affirm the pain and become equal to it) whereas negativity is affectively thin and immature (unable to make the basic gesture of cultivating joy and gratitute). Majesty should be understood as different from either of these - it pertains to the sublime, the awe-inspiring, the profound, the construction of a new sky.
